Unexplainable Whimsy

We got the anticipated few inches of snow this morning, but I wasn't thrilled with any of the photos I took of the white stuff. I complain for something new to inspire me, then I blow it. Actually, this weird picture was my favorite of the bunch today. It is a red glass vase filled with faux roses in my foyer. The front door was open, letting in the immense snow-glare reflecting in the mirror behind the roses. Who knows how the little white butterfly-like designs got into the scene, but I thought the overall blurred effect gave this a surreal, painting look with a touch of unexplainable whimsy. Perhaps that is what I sought, afterall: the un-duplicable!
