Happy days ...

Old Street London

Its been a busy day today as we left home early this morning to take Jenny and Michael back to London. It was good to travel in the VW Campervan as it is high enough to be able to see over fences into the fields. Getting into London at Stratford is interesting as each time we go down we look to see the progress in the Olympic village. It is difficult getting any photos though as the traffic moves too fast.

We left Jenny's and this photo is of some of the interesting buildings at Old Street roundabout. I have no idea what the structure is in the foreground, but no doubt someone will advise me.

One of the many joys of visiting Jenny, is that the views from their apartment are fairly spectacular as it is on the 9th floor with unrivalled views over the Honourable Artillery Company grounds and the Gherkin and the Shard are in the distance. London fascinates me with such incredible architecture. I love the mix of new and old and it must be so satisfying to have the skill and imagination to design some of the buildings we see every day.

I never tire of London and love people watching.
