Funny-looking bird

Today, I remembered that I had a 2X lens converter that I haven't used for ages. So to try it out, I thought I'd get get some pictures of oystercatchers on the beach.

Except there weren't any oystercatchers on the beach.

Maybe they're more shy than I realised.

Wouldn't it have been neat if this boat were called The Oystercatcher?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not.
