But Is It Art?

We went to town today and did some chores, like getting both pairs of my glasses bent back into shape and lenses reinstalled (thanks Alexander).
We had Alexander's feet measured, but they haven't grown at all since 4 weeks ago and only half a size since September, so he still doesn't need new shoes. I can only assume this recent spate of gorging himself means one morning I'll go in his room and he'll have turned into a butterfly.

We had a massive Belgian bun and coffee in the BHS cafe with the other OAPs. They seem to have some pretty amazing lunch offers on in January, so now you're in the know...

Then we went to the Gallery of Modern Art. the main exhibition was of sculpture made in Glasgow. We liked this, but is it art or interior design? We weren't too impressed by the other sculptures. Bad Granny was particularly scathing.

The Alasdair Gray and Art Fund exhibitions were really good though....

I should add Bad Granny has a degree in graphic art, she wasn't just mumbling in a Daily Mail stylee.

We had a great time last night btw, it was a proper old fashioned folk club type night, starting with the High Spen Blue Diamonds (rapper sword) via the Singing Kettle to Martin Carthy and ending in a singalong where half the row in front got up and sang on stage. I didn't recognise any of them but I'm not right up with the local folk scene. Tut tut
