Taking it slow in Easter Island / Rapa Nui

Today was an early start with a 5 hour plane ride from Santiago to Easter Island. Also known by its Polynesian name of Rapa Nui it is one of the world's most isolated islands about 3,700 km off the coast of Chile.

We are here for 5 days with the aim of taking it slow and trekking around the small island to capture some shots of the famous Ahu or Moai statues. This afternoon we concentrated on the north west coast outside of the main town of Hanga Roa including this one called OTAI nestled in the small harbour.

The sunset was a mix of vibrant orange clashing with the vivid blue of the Pacific Ocean. Hope to share some more special images over the coming days.
