Class time!

Decided to check out a photography class offered by a local art gallery. We're starting with the basics and working our way up from there, with the aim of permanently getting out of any automatic mode. We'll see.

I was amazed at the confidence of one participant: she is probably 20 years older than I am; has no clue what "focusing" means; doesn't know the difference between f-stops and shutter speed; holds her (very basic) camera two-handed (as if wielding a baseball bat), but is fully intent on doing photo-journalism. This should be interesting :))
