Coal for heating

It pays when you're out walking to keep your ears open as well as your eyes. I heard strange sounds and found this man shoveling coal. In China, they use coal to heat water which is then run through people's walls or floors for the heating in winter. Large trucks drop off the coal into huge mounds near the heater building. I am yet to see inside one but I really want to. From the mound it is taken inside the building using these small carts. It looks like hard work, as I am sure the work inside the building is also hard.
