Voodoo Ale!?

Let the story begin with a small brewery in northern Oregon - the Rogue Brewery (named after a scenic river that crosses the western edge of the state). Then, throw in a small doughnut shop (very popular with locals) called Voodoo Doughnuts. Voodoo is appropriate to their name as they perform some sort of wicked magic in the ingredients, making and naming of their product. Take for instance the Maple Bacon Raised Doughnut - a very popular item generally sold out shortly after opening. A link to Voodoo Doughnuts HERE. As you can see from the link, they're expanding...

Now, (the story continues) a delightfully tasty and well crafted ale, (don't get swayed away by the name - although I like the idea of bacon, maple and beer), named for the doughnut establishment in the flavor of their most popular product.

Besides being in a pink bottle, it makes a statement.

I'm not sure if this is part of evolution or just demonic voodooism, but it is fun!

Enjoy!

PS - there's a link on the voodoo page for the ale as well.
