Messing about (slish.... slosh)

I had a trip to Reading today and went 'the back way',
because it takes me past the river.

Being somewhat late challenged, time-wise, I didn't have time to stop on the way there.
I had lost the light on the way back, but the river was busy and I could hear orders being barked before I saw any rowers.

It sounds as though rowing is hard work and instructors are STRICT.

So, this wasn't the heron shot I'd hoped for, but it is marginally better than a
'this is the river on a dismal January afternoon with nothing going on' shot!
I tried to brighten it, but it seems (which will not surprise anyone who knows me) that I prefer moody and dark! :-)
