The eternal cycle of life

We were up at the crack of dawn today, to travel to the funeral of a good friend, who has died, just a month or so short of her 92nd year. She was a leap year baby, born on February 29th, and was very proud of the fact that she was 84 when she celebrated her 21st birthday!

Later on in the day we picked up the youngest Talpa from school, as we do every Tuesday. As usual, rough and tumble with granddad was high on the agenda, today's battle theme being Star Wars; normal rules, granddad loses, youngest Talpa wins. I survived, bloodied, but alive to fight another day. Life goes on!
