Ladybird

We were supposed to be in Kelso today helping a friend move house. That was the plan anyway. We'd swapped cars with Roz's mum for the last few days and we were going to be swapping back down in Kelso as she was at Roz's granny's house.

Unfortunately when we were just outside Dalkieth the car started revving strangely and there was hardly any power. Pretty soon after there was a pretty distinct burning smell. Fortunately we'd gone on the wee back road through Whitehill and Chesterhill so Roz found a quiet bit to pull over.

We ended up having to call the RAC who said they would have someone out to us in a little over an hour. Thankfully it was a lovely day and Maddy had an inflatable lilo in the boot of the car. When the RAC finally showed up it turned out that the clutch had gone. Thankfully it was a wear and tear thing rather than anything Roz had done or we'd have been feeling really guilty. Also it was lucky we'd swapped cars as, if it had happened to Sally on a quiet border road with Roz's granny in the car it could have been a nightmare.

Anyway, Maddy found a Ladybird while we were waiting so at least I got a blip out of it.
