Turning Point

I took this photo just over 2 years ago, and just recently hung it up on my wall. And I've been wondering what took me so long. Not only is it a cool photo of the Las Vegas strip at night, but it was a really cool moment in time for me. I was in Vegas for WPPI. It was almost midnight, but I REALLY wanted a picture of the strip. So I wandered out on my own, feeling brave. And for the first time ever, I flipped my camera settings to manual. Then I stood in the cold night, braving the wind, till the image captured reflected (closely enough) the image I had in my head. And it was totally worth it all. Seeing this up on my wall makes me smile.
