Brick

We use brick to build all kinds of barriers in life. Walls to block wind, fences to block out people, prisons to keep in prisoners, dyke walls to prevent rivers flooding, and an emotional brick wall to keep people out and stop any hurt reaching us.

Thing is when you use a wall to shut everyone out in life it becomes very lonely. I think a better use of bricks is to build a house (like this one) and invite people in.
