just a Moment in the wood

By wavingarms

Drip, drip, drip.

It gave up trying to snow, and settled for sleet. Then in mid afternoon it cleared enough for a visit to Moine Mhor, a tiny National Nature Reserve, with my daughter, Rachel.
Mind you, it was so wet we abandoned the walk half way round, and it's only 600m!

Lots of thick, green moss, Old Man's Beard hanging from the trees, and one solitary vibrant yellow gorse bush. In the end it was puddle with ripples from the heavy drops, falling from the boughs above, that bought our eyes.

It's not a great photo, but it's a memory of a moment, and that's what it's all about. For me, anyhow.
