The trees at night

This is a first exercise in night-time photography. As it's a cold damp night, I thought I would do it in comfort - from the spare room window.

I learnt a lot, including: 1. I don't know all the camera buttons well enough to use them in the dark, 2. It isn't obvious that the lens cap is still on, until after you've taken the picture, 3. Manual focus on my Olympus camera doesn't have a distance scale :-(.

I thought the colours might be interesting, but I didn't anticipate that the trees would look different lit from the side, and I didn't expect the stars.
