Evening out

We went to a public preview (for those on the email list who said they would go) of the Turner elements show at the Turner Contemporary in Margate. It was great to be there at night and see the building illuminated (birds were shown flying across one wall) and buzzing with people. The exhibition was just right as to the number of paintings and how they were displayed, a blockbuster Storm at Sea and a fair number of other later works in the final room and others ranged according to the elements - earth, water, air and fire - they depicted; some I had never seen before. There were also lots of watercolour sketches.
Needless to say I couldn't find my camera as we set off so had to snap the booklet when I got home and located it.
