Catching the early rays

Promising to be a beautiful day today.
Early blip for a change - went out at 8am for a walk while the family were having a lie in. Caught this shot of the kestrel (this is the closest she would allow me) and some distant shots of the fox foraging around the manure heap but that was about all.
I was quite pleased with this shot as the camera really is getting too heavy now for me to handhold without excesssive shaking. Takes a lot of effort to keep it steady. :(
Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend. We certainly have plenty of goldfinch to record - got a shot of 40 yesterday.
It is also (according to Google) the 125th anniversary of the largest snowflake (strange thing to celebrate) but don't think we will get many of those today!
Hoping to get some portrait shots of S & H so this image may change as the day progresses.
