I cannae take no more!

I love this Lion.

It's hidden down down a lane in Haddington that used to be called Skinners Close. So named because it's on a slope and runs down to the Tyne so the blood could flow away when they were "skinning".

It's built into the wall of an old manse that dates from the 1750's and so it's seen some use over the last 250 years or so.

To me it looks like it's had enough. The screws have fallen out, it's rusted over and it's looking up to the heavens as if it can't take any more punishment!
