Swaledale ski season begins

Today we went up Shunner Fell on our new nordic touring skis. The skis were a Christmas present and we used them for the first time today. We went about 5 miles (we think) to the top of Shunner Fell from the Buttertubs ... the snow was good and the sun was shining and the going was easier than we thought it would be.
