Sun Dog??

Ok....I took a fairly decent few bird pics today, including one, of one of our robins. But this one has to go up. (I may stick them up in my folio later)

Driving to Wick this afternoon we spotted what we think is a Sun Dog, a rainbow cloud attached to an arc around the sun. (The sun is just off to the right of the picture) Daughter took this as I was driving and as the cloud was dispersing, so its been layered upon itself a few times to show the rainbow. It was quite bright, but taking the photo at speed through a car windshield took away its brilliance.

Anyone actually know what it is?
