Renfrew Town Hall Reopening.

Today was the reopening of the Town Hall following a £5.2 million revamp.

Designed in 1872 by Paisley architect John Lamb, the town hall has been part of Renfrew's history for 140 years. The modernisation project involved structural upgrading, including the installation of a new steel frame and a replacement roof.

The interior of the A-listed building has also been transformed and a new Renfrew community museum has been built alongside the revamped town hall.

There was lots of picture potential around with a schools parade, a pipe band, the Singing Kettle, Gamu, the Renfrew Silver Band, Nicola Sturgeon, funfare, Radio Clyde Roadshow, rounded off by a fireworks display.

However I felt my Blip should be the centre of the celebration - the Town Hall itself.
