rust and burn

2012 Blipfoto Challenge, week 4: 'Modern'

it's sad that in today's modern lifestyle world the supermarkets have all but destroyed the profitable livelihoods of many smaller, local producers. it's something we tried to address in our little own way a few years ago when we jumped back onto the local milkman round, although the reality was soon clear when we realised that they too are controlled by a huge multinational who also supply the vast majority of milk to the supermarkets and the fact that we kept getting bottles of milk knicked off our doorstep meant we stopped that after about a year following the passing-away of the friendly old boy who delivered to us.

but that said, i spent an enjoyable middle to my day wandering around the old abandoned Bodfari dairy looking for textures and light. was shocked to see the state it's fallen even deeper into since my last trip there though.

took a lot of photographs but will need to process the raws properly on bigMac in the week so for now it's this abstract number, a blend of two exposures but otherwise straight-from-camera. exif will say iphone but it was in fact my D80, uploaded via iPad and that rather nifty camera connection dock connector thingy.
