Hike!

I was determined not to miss the dog-sled races on the White Mountain Apache reservation near Sunrise ski resort again this year. Tenth year. Good crowd. Three, Four and Six Dog teams. One mile and a bit; 3.8 mile and 5 mile (I think? or was it nearer eight miles?) trails. They will run the courses again tomorrow morning and times combined for the final positions.

Like bicycles time-trialing the mushers start at set intervals and race against the clock.
