Beached

A walk along the beach this morning with Eve and the whippet. Eve brought her shell bag and picked up some beauties, most of which have already been painted on the kitchen table. The old wreck here offers rich picking on the shell front and the whippet always enjoys a nibble of the old wood for some reason.

On the walk back to the car Eve asked "Dad, what's the name of that green woman in America?" Seeing my puzzlement she narrowed it down "You know, the green woman who lives in New York?". When she stood on a rock holding her new conch shell in the air I realised she meant the Statue of Liberty.
