From Sunday grim to Monday light

Well, yesterday's bit of Sunday grim (thanks, Odeyrandom) seemed quite popular. I thought of pursuing the theme on the traditionally grimmest day of the week, but the weather wasn't playing ball and has been surprisingly nice. Not that I have seen much of it - having made just one trip across the quad and back to teach. Otherwise, I've been in meetings or dungeons.

But isn't it nice how blipping makes you notice things? I had never previously noticed that if you turn your head to the left when cycling up Leith Street, in the gap between the Omni centre and the next office block, one of Calton Hill's distinctive monuments suddenly appears. I found five minutes to photograph it against the sky.
