Every cloud has a silver lining...

Gas bottle shortages, diesel shortages, demonstrations throughout the Luxor Governate. The Esna lock closed for 2 days as workers demand higher salary and longer contracts, resulting in Cruise ships being abandoned on an endless voyage to Aswan, it goes on....

The ongoing daily battle for internet, electricity and water, has resulted in a day passing so very quickly (Again) No sun, dark clouds and a heavy air. People have a headache and are growing tired.

Me? I am really happy to have received a call from the Governor's office to confirm that the school children of Luxor, can finally come, once more, to ACE (Animal Care in Egypt)

Since the Revolution, many things have ceased. But the thumbs up was given today, setting the wheels in motion.

This means we can continue the education programme the team had previously devised and implemented, teaching children between 7 and 12 years of age about basic animal care and welfare.

We believe we can make an imprint on the children. They are our future. We trust them to understand and share that understanding and knowledge with those around them.
