Starry Eyed Surprise

Well, it is for me anyway.

I could spend hours and hours reading recipes and looking at the photos in these books and I certainly wouldn't want to be parted with them.

I have a new addition to my collection which arrived today; Rose Elliot's New Complete Vegetarian. I realised that I've been veggie for nearly 30 years and this is the first Vegetarian Cook Book I've purchased.

I have one other Veggie cookbook that my Mum picked up for me in a jumble sale years ago and a River Cottage Veg everyday! book I got from Mr G at Christmas, but that's it.

(the River Cottage book has some great ideas but I wouldn't class them as 'everyday')

Now I have a cookbook that I can put into use straight away. I'm going to put some effort into the meals I make for myself instead of a quick pasta and sauce or a frozen mushroom burger.

I'm not sure how the other residents will feel about this new approach to mealtimes, but it's time the tables were turned and the veggie meal got a higher profile

That's fair isn't it?
