Conchas

Thinking about today's blip at bedtime so here is a shot of the seashells that sit in a little mother of pearl dish on the bedside table.

The minute sea snail shells were collected on our local beach at the bottom of the hill, whilst the tiny mother of pearl abalone clam shells were found walking on the beach west of Tarifa, in neighbouring Cadiz Province... and the sea urchin (anenome?) shell is from Estepona, here in Malaga Province.

Sea urchins are popular at this time of year in local restaurants. We had them tempura style recently - wonderful 'fresh sea' taste but the texture is an acquired taste!

Good night y buenas noches!
