The creationist argument that this miraculous world could only exist in all its wonder if it is the work of a divine creator seems often to hinge upon such small, beautiful things. The structure of the eye is regularly cited as being impossible to achieve by "chance".

How, but by the hand of He who cast me from his image (poor guy), could the glory of a rainbow ever come to be?

Funnily enough... Far from making it dull and mechanical, the fact that I know how these things come to be enhances their majesty rather than diminishes it. Science, without doubt, is a divine thing. But without the nuns.
