The Selenites

No, this wasn't photographed off of a television screen, but you might have seen these creatures on TV if you've ever seen "First Men in the Moon," a 1964 Ray Harryhausen film. These are the insect-like Selenites that inhabit the moon in that film based on the novel by H.G. Wells. I shot this photo of some Japanese produced figurines that I have sitting in a curio cabinet. I played around with some photoshop filters to give it the look of grainy old film footage.
