Newly over hauled ex Southern "U" Class

Sometimes its an advantage being a girl!!

Went looking for the field of snowdrops today but didnt get very far, it was possibly a little too early.

On the way back we decided to find somewhere for lunch and came across this little town called Alresford, where standing at the station was this amazing steam engine!

Leaving my family behind I dashed off to get pictures .. there were lots of chaps taking every angled picture possible but not me .. straight up to the driver smiled sweetly and within 30 seconds of arriving was allowed up on the train with driver and helping shovel coal into the fire.

The chaps were all volunteers who ran the train and had a real passion .. from young to old they all spoke enthusiastically about what they did , how long they'd been working there and why .. it was lovely.
