Waiting For...

The obvious choice would be Godot but I wasn't waiting for him. I was waiting for Herr..... Langsam. First name Sehr. I had an appointment at 11 and what with the German reputation for punctuality, I actually expected to see him at 11.

Foolish, foolish me. Shortly before 12 I got to see him.

That's a long time to sit and wait and look at this staircase. And watch other people come and go. Especially irksome when people arrive after you, walk straight into their appointment and then leave before you've even been greeted. It was not a super way to waste my time. Our meeting was brief and painless - so that's something to be grateful for.
