The English Lakes

This is the second edition, published in 1908, of 'The English Lakes' by W. T. Palmer and illustrated by A. Heaton-Cooper. Each chapter describes a different body of water in the English Lake District. Although I much admire the paintings (of which there are 75) by Heaton-Cooper what I really like about this book is the cover design with its water lilies floating and ripples of the current above the fish feeding off a bed of pebbles.
