Breaking the ice

By mid-afternoon, the day's sunshine seemed to have warmed the air enough to melt ice. In the water trough for the birds on the patio the ice had been moulded in the shape of a clam shell.

I picked it up as the edges had melted, but in the nature of things, it slipped out of one hand while I was filming it with the other. I tried again, now it was no longer in one piece. I think this shape is much better.
