Visa run

Taken in Gabon, West Africa. We had to go in to Port Gentil to clear immigration and get our passports stamped so that we could fly home.
We had towed the rig down from Cameroon to meet the dry tow carrier vessel (in background) which was going to transport the rig to a shipyard in Singapore.

The carrier vessel actually "sinks" by flooding her ballast tanks, the rig is then moved over the top/ center of the vessel. Once the rig is positioned correctly (using tug boats) the carrier vessel then pumps out the water from her tanks which raises the vessel, and at the same time, the rig. Really interesting operation to see and be involved in.
