Science meets art

.... a particular favourtie topic of mine - especially as I am a scientist who gets to use very powerful microscopes that let me see the world at the nanoscopic level. This was on the BBC web site today - I was drawn to this picture for several reasons, the beautiful colour very reminiscent of the wonderful rock formations down in Southern Utah, the fact it came from people at Drexel university - I met scientists from this institute recently and was impressed and the wonderful layered nature of the nanomaterial.

Right off home now - hopefully a cooked dinner is waiting for me
