Chilly Dawyck

The forecast was for another bright day and less cold so we dropped plans to attend a lunchtime concert and nipped down, via Peebles, to Dawyck Garden for some fresh air and to see how they had survived the recent severe gales.

Happily, although they have lost a few trees and branches they are quite upbeat about it and will use the fallen timber in the garden for seats, posts and the like.

It was still frosty, especially in the lower sections of the garden, with strange forms of ice hanging on the vegetation by the stream. I took millions hundreds fifty-odd photos in all but this one illustrates the cold water and ice , especially in large.
