this is the thing which has defined my day: the scotsman festival review supplement's venues map (yes, those are my specs, too).

i spent two hours with this baby this morning, checking off venue names against grid references, periodically going 'huh?' and scribbling additions to make things a little more sensible - not a bad year, only a few horrible howling errors, the rest of the changes were clarifications and tweaks. i then spent half an hour with one of the graphics chaps doing the changes. i then panicked that i'd got it wrong and spent 20 minutes rechecking the things we'd changed (i was right, as far as i can tell - fingers crossed!).

so if you pick up a copy of the scotsman and look in the back of the festival review supplement you'll find a map that should help you find your way around the city for the duration of the festival. no promises, no liability accepted...
