Years ago I bought back some stones I collected on the beach in Etretat, Normandy. The push and pull of tide had worn holes through the centre of the stones. They reminded me of bagels.

I added a red bead and an old metal button, also found on the same stretch of beach, to make this. I don't know what to call it. It's not a mobile and definitely not sculpture. A piece of whimsy anyway, a little playground swing for the baby birds who perch on it often.
