Moonrise Over Llama Lake

With apologies to Ansel Adams...

Another brilliant day here in Sammamish so Bonnie and I headed out on a long 2-1/2 hour walk. With sunny skies and wispy clouds, it was perfect conditions for a day of infrared shooting. I knew the moon was going to rise in the late afternoon, so I timed my walk so that I would be on the west side of Llama Lake in order to capture it breaking above the trees.

My only concern was cloud cover, but the skies remained mostly clear and I was able to capture plenty of frames.
