Montbretia/Crocosmia

Shattered last night so no alarm on this morning. 'Phone rang about 7.30a.m. No.2 son ringing from Australia to let us know they had got home safely after their sea kyaking trip to Newfoundland Sounded a wonderful trip . Lots of whales joined them and enjoyed food cooked over open fires on shingle beaches. Oh to be young again! He is back down the tunnel on Monday.
While tidying the paved area in the back garden after a very heavy shower noticed this montbretia and liked how the rain had brought out the various colours. Nearly got a bee collecting honey but I heard it mutter "oh not you again" and it flew off.
Funny day, bright then really heavy downpours which last only a few minutes. Hope everyones' weekend is going well.
