Corn measuring

In obedience to the local corn laws, this being the first Sunday of August I took measure of things corny today.
Accuracy is important, so I used the standard elephants eye/ sky method.
Unfortunately the corn seems to have grown a bit higher than required but it still doesn't quite touch the sky. Phew! It will mean the stocks, but at least I won't be swinging from a gibbit.
