Five minutes

D has been really ill with an acute ear infection in both ears. He has also developed tongue ulcers so he is finding it very very difficult to eat as he is in such discomfort. He has not slept for more than two hours (on a good night) at a time for the last six nights so we are all thoroughly exhausted. The only way he seems to be able to sleep or rest is if I'm holding him in an upright position. He is also exhausted but is still remarkably cheerful and playful most of the time throughout the day.

He really wanted to get out into the snow so I wrapped him up and let him have a little potter on the terrace. He walked around making footprints before deciding to wipe the snow off our Egyptian Norag bench. After he'd done that he decided that he'd had enough and it was time to go inside. Definitely something up when a toddler only wants to play outside for five minutes :(
