The Kiltwalk

Is There a Teacher on the Kilt, sorry StudyWalk

So hands up who's doing the Kiltwalk, or StudyWalk as it will be for veteran Kiltwalker Sarah Grigor. Now we've used the phrase "veteran" before, but when I tell you that Sarah is only 15, then it's even more impressive to hear Sarah walked her first Kiltwalk last year, when she was only 14!!

"So what's StudyWalk all about" I hear you say, well it all started with a simple Tweet from @weesaragregor_x who said "Looking forward to thekiltwalk again, only downer will be exams not long after it" so we set about finding out what 'exams' Sarah was talking, to make sure she doesn't go without a day of study.

It turns out that Sarah is sitting her Standard Grades and has a daunting task ahead of her as she revises for exams in Maths, English, French, Modern Studies, Home Economics, Chemistry, Computing and Music, so we need a number of helpers. We need someone strong to carry her considerable school bag of books so she can revise as she walks and if we have any Teachers doing the walk, then I'm sure you could offer a bit of free tutoring as you cover the miles.

Sarah walked last year's Kiltwalk with her Dad, older brother, cousin and best friend and her target this year is to beat her time of last year which was nine and a half hours and she thinks her goal is in reach, as long as her Dad doesn't do the Kiltwalk again as she reckons he was Mr Slowcoach last year.

So all that remains is for us to wish Sarah all the best with her exams and if you see a young lady with a Chemistry book in her hand, you'll know who it is, and if a certain Scott or Keri are looking in then I hope you're taking your books too.
