Pinner Station in the Snow

Started Saturdays adventure here. Caught tube about 1030. Stopped at Preston Park when driver said he thought we were going no further. Walked through the snow to Wembley Park; a new experience for a Brazilian fellow passenger who had never sen snow in her life. Wembley Park station shut! Trudged down Harrow Road until we came to a bus stop. Waited for ages. Nothing came. Traffic tailed back on the opposite direction. Walked on to North Circular. Decided to turn back to find hotel we had seen at Wembley Park but along comes No 18 bus to Euston. Catch bus. After long and eventful journey only possible because a group of lads pushed the front of the bus to stop it sliding toward the pavement on a couple of occasions Arrived Euston just before 2 am. Dived into station for comfort break. Just made it before station shut; ushered out by back route. Tried to book in to Travelodge. Full! Saw Hilton and booked in. Price not an issue. Just wanted to be warm. Slept very well then off to Waterloo and home. Fellow guest who said that some parties you remember for ever was so right!!
