Up Town, Looking Downstreet

Scarborough's shopping district has three distinct segments and I have previously blipped from the predominantly charity shop area looking down into the Old Town, which many locals refer to as 'Downstreet'. From there the ancient walls of Scarborough Castle are visible, but not the Keep.

Today a not-as-fastfit-as-the-advertising-suggested tyre supplier meant that I had a couple of hours to fill so I got a few little shopping jobs done Up Town, which is what Old Town people call Westborough where the national names are to be found.

Here the Castle Keep rises serenely and majestically over the hubbub and chaos of a busy high Street.
