70 today

Today was moms bday and what is it they say about best laid plans an all that.

Booked a spa day today for her..... Which we had to cancel as fin, the epileptic damnation wouldn't stop being sick. A trip to the vets revealed that the harness (we know this as it made an appearance this morning) he ate last week in kennels had got stuck in his tummy. They had to operate to get it out. Hopefully he wil be back home tomorrow.

Once we knew he was staying in we tried to organise a meal out to salvage the day..... Hmmm no I don't think so. Bring on the stream of visitors.

So I've had to resort to cooking...... Pie in, oven on, pie out...... Burnt.

I would order a take out but eaves knows what may happen. I may end up indirectly burning down the Chinese!

On the plus side she gets to be 69 until the weekend when we can celebrate officially.... We hope
