Looking all big and Moony at me, what was I supposed to do eh?

I wonder what people from outer space would make of Earth and the humans that seem unable to understand what they have? I saw a news item on Syria about how, during the current wave of unrest, people are having to bury their dead under the cover of darkness for fear of being shot. People burying their dead children in the dark, whilst being shot at... I completely despair...
