The Lundy Eye

Hidden history

This is the plaque marking Glasgow's smallest graveyard, the Quaker burial ground in Keith Street, Partick. It is tucked away in such a secluded spot that even passers-by don't realise it's there.
There are no gravestones - which I believe is a Quaker tradition. The memory of John Purdon, who gifted the site, lives on in Purdon Street just along the road.
A nice little piece of hidden Glasgow
