Diamond Jubilee

In the year of our present Queen's Jubilee, I spotted this little number on my way up to the physios. I just spotted the lamp on at 3.30 in the afternoon and stopped for a quick blip only then did I see the lettering announcing the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.

The forecasted snow did not arrive and it's just been constant rain since about 11.00am. So the pretty snow scenes I had in mind for today did not materialise.
